Pecan orchard

Our organic pecan orchards will consist of the Pawnee and Kanza varieties of pecan trees.  These are high quality thin shelled pecans.  

The primary pecan is the Pawnee with every tenth tree being a Kanza pecan used as a pollinator for the Pawnee.

Our orchard plan is designed around organic soil, tree and  pest management.  Our designated orchard is a remote area, never exposed to chemicals, insecticides or herbicides and significantly away from any agriculture.  

One hundred trees will be planted in 2015 – 2016 planting season, with a minimum of 100 each year thereafter.    The planting season in Central Texas begins in November and ends in March the following year.  
It will take a minimum of five years before there are any marketable pecans.
